When Franco Poletti fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grugliasco's protests and gave Franco Poletti a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Grugliasco's Franco Poletti got a free kick in the 47th minute. 49 in the game De Frinos FC's Paulino Haritz showed how dangerous he can be in front of the goal when he by his own managed to get a clear opportunity for a shot. The following shot went just left of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stratos Papandreou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 66 minutes into the match, Grugliasco's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Aluneanu came free, but Ercole Trombetta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Kemal Salman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Trombetta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Grugliasco defense, Carlo Scalabrino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ercole Trombetta. The Grugliasco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ercole Trombetta should have stopped the shot. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, De Frinos FC's Domenico Belardi got a free kick in the 99th minute. De Frinos FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
