Alberigo Cavaliere was slow to take the kick. During this time Tivoli's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Tivoli's corner Franco Toledano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Frits Heinel quite easily take care of the ball. Tivoli were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Palestra14's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberigo Cavaliere took the corner. Franco Toledano was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of Palestra14 booed when Tivoli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Toledano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ildephonso Toledano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cain Vieri in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute Alberigo Cavaliere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Heinel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
