In the 5thth minute of the game Anfilogino Preda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Sox's Alfredo Lucantoni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Montechiarugolo AFC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Alfredo Zuccarini hit a great ball. In the 7th minute Fortunato Boldrini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pär Are saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Red Sox's goal looked a bit too open when Daniele Bevilacqua came free, but Alfredo Lucantoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Lucantoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Bevilacqua in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Pan got free with Pär Are in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfredo Zuccarini charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Zuccarini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfredo Zuccarini kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Pär Are showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Pan, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Montechiarugolo AFC's Cacá 赵云乐 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Lucantoni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Pan in the 21st minute of play forced Montechiarugolo AFC's goalkeeper Pär Are to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Alex Cirigliano made the kick off in the second half. Pär Are showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Festuccia, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Claudio Pan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Sox's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Pan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pär Are breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th match minute, Red Sox was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fortunato Boldrini to maneuver through the defense. Montechiarugolo AFC's Carmine Belardi was substituted for Anfilogino Preda. Fortunato Boldrini kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Red Sox's Fedele Hell got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Pär Are showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Boldrini in the 66th minute of the match. Red Sox's Alfredo Lucantoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniele Bevilacqua in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute Daniele Bevilacqua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Lucantoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Cirigliano in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pär Are saved Montechiarugolo AFC from getting behind. Fortunato Boldrini scored 3-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pär Are, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfredo Lucantoni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmine Belardi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Red Sox booed when Montechiarugolo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Bevilacqua didn't get a good kick on the ball. Red Sox's Concetto Pezzi was substituted for Claudio Pan. Red Sox's Felice Tieri was substituted for Francesco Festuccia. Daniele Bevilacqua hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Alfredo Lucantoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacá 赵云乐 in the 86th minute of play. If Carmine Belardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonello Zulli scored 4-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pär Are, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Red Sox were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Montechiarugolo AFC for a fine match.
