In the 73rd minute of the match, Attilio Pani got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dennis Carrea was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alberto Di Clemente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Válter Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play.
