Edoardo Proietti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Edoardo Proietti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ennio Celli in the 19th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Ennio Celli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edoardo Proietti was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Casper Galle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edoardo Proietti having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casper Galle in the 26th minute of play forced Gorla Minore's goalkeeper Edoardo Proietti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gorla Minore's zone, Damiano Picca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edoardo Proietti came out of the goal and Damiano Picca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ennio Celli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edoardo Proietti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Herensuge Manurga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Fabrizio Ricci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ennio Celli to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Ennio Celli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Herta Vernello fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. When Ennio Celli came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Herta Vernello fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ennio Celli couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Gregorio Thomas made a precise shot to the right of Fabrizio Ricci. Herta Vernello's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. Herta Vernello's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
