In the 23rdth minute of the game Dinei Fernandez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gorla Minore's Fabio Colaneri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabio Colaneri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinei Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Gorla Minore's goal looked a bit too open when Edoardo Pascucci came free, but Fabio Colaneri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Adriano Scalabrino threw the ball into play from the sideline. Merceron United's Dave Giacomozzi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dinei Fernandez in the 37th managed to get into a good position. Merceron United were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Gorla Minore's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Milosz Waselenczuk took the corner. Fabio Colaneri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinei Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Herensuge Manurga charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herensuge Manurga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Herensuge Manurga kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gorla Minore's goalkeeper Fabio Colaneri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Herensuge Manurga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gorla Minore's supporters rose to their feet, but Herensuge Manurga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniele Bucciarelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dinei Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Gregorio Thomas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniele Bucciarelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinei Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Fabio Colaneri made a huge save. Dinei Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Colaneri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dinei Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Merceron United booed when Gorla Minore was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Scalabrino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinei Fernandez in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The Merceron United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Dinei Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 91 in the game by Dinei Fernandez from a close distance when the talented Fabio Colaneri managed to make a qualified save. Gorla Minore's players were relieved. In the 97th minute, Amos Rea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gorla Minore's Fabio Colaneri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Gorla Minore from getting a goal against them. Merceron United played a much better game than Gorla Minore and deserved their victory. The Gorla Minore players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
