Kurt Hesse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto De Meis having to interfere. In the 24th minute Ferdinando Di Loreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Carrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto De Meis made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Bertrán Olguín sent off a good shot on target. Concetto Vieri made in the 28th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sebastiano Barbanti immediately put the ball in play. Claudio Colucci charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Colucci the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Vaffancalcio got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Colucci. Vaffancalcio's Dennis Carrea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Vieri in the 30th minute of play. Viper FC's Alberto De Meis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Viper FC from getting a goal against them. If Bertrán Olguín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertrán Olguín received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Alberto De Meis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vaffancalcio made a substitution. Alberto Di Clemente replaced Florian Capone. Concetto Vieri hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Alberto De Meis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Di Clemente in the 49th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Vieri made a kick off. Alberto De Meis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Di Clemente in the 56th minute of play. Liviu Răducan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto De Meis having to interfere. Alberto De Meis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Di Clemente, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 64thth minute of the game Alberto Di Clemente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Viper FC's Alberto De Meis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Di Clemente in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto De Meis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66thth minute of the game Alberto Di Clemente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Viper FC's Alberto De Meis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Di Clemente in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto De Meis saved Viper FC from getting behind. When Vaffancalcio's Alberto Di Clemente in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Viper FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Alberto Di Clemente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Vaffancalcio's Alberto Di Clemente sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberto De Meis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th minute Alberto Di Clemente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto De Meis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes Viper FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Claudio Colucci who took care of the corner kick. Vaffancalcio's Liviu Răducan got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Viper FC's Alberto De Meis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertrán Olguín in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to Viper FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Giacinto Facchetti hit a great ball. Bertrán Olguín sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vaffancalcio had won after a very even match.
