Dennis Carrea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taavetti Noponen in the 30th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Vaffancalcio's goal looked a bit too open when Taavetti Noponen came free, but Dennis Carrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taavetti Noponen spun around in front of the goal 40 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Vaffancalcio's goal. After having played for 42 minutes, Bertrán Olguín managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaffancalcio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertrán Olguín was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vaffancalcio made a substitution. Alberto Di Clemente replaced Florian Capone. Vaffancalcio's Ambrosio Xabel was substituted for Steve Valk. Claudio Colucci kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vennard Sundoro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Liviu Răducan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciccio Tatangelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosimo Fabrizi during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Liviu Răducan's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Ciccio Tatangelo - 2-1 was put on the score board in the 71st minute. Vaffancalcio's Dennis Carrea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taavetti Noponen in the 77th minute of play. Vaffancalcio's Dennis Carrea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Vaffancalcio from getting a goal against them.
