In the 16th minute Ennio Celli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Carrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dennis Carrea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damiano Picca went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Fabrizio Ricci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertrán Olguín, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Fabrizio Ricci came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Vaffancalcio's Bertrán Olguín. But to his dismay, Bertrán Olguín quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dennis Carrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennio Celli, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Dennis Carrea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ennio Celli in the 28th minute of the match. After 29 minutes Vaffancalcio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damiano Picca who took care of the corner kick. Dennis Carrea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damiano Picca in the 32nd minute. In the 34th match minute, Vaffancalcio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Hesse to maneuver through the defense. Vaffancalcio's Ambrosio Xabel was substituted for Steve Valk. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Di Clemente to make the kick off. Fabrizio Ricci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bertrán Olguín in the 54th minute. The audience was convinced that Alberto Di Clemente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabrizio Ricci was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 57th minute, Damiano Picca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabrizio Ricci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vaffancalcio were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Herta Vernello's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claudio Colucci took the corner. Dennis Carrea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damiano Picca in the 79th minute of the match. Fabrizio Ricci was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Di Clemente showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 80 minute of play. Dennis Carrea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damiano Picca in the 83rd minute of the match. Herta Vernello's Fabrizio Ricci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertrán Olguín in the 84th minute of play. If Liviu Răducan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diego Teti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 played minutes Vaffancalcio got a freekick which was hit by Bertrán Olguín. Liviu Răducan kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Vaffancalcio supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vaffancalcio would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
