Spectators: 8573 (Terracing: 6431, Seating: 1971, VIP seats: 171) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Levent Hicran took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Lilywhites's Ercole Faiella got control of the ball when Levent Hicran tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 3 minutes Lilywhites's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dinu Dobre who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Marcus Hastings almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lilywhites's Ercole Faiella did a great save. Ercole Faiella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Levent Hicran in the 5th minute of the match. After 7 minutes Lilywhites's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dinu Dobre who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Augusto Graziani got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ercole Faiella quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lilywhites's Ercole Faiella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Rosa in the 9th minute of play. Ercole Faiella made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francesco Cremonese in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Lilywhites's Ercole Faiella got control of the ball when Augusto Graziani tried to sneak it across the goal line. San Mauro A Mare FC's Levent Hicran got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmondo Carciofo's late challenge caught a San Mauro A Mare FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmondo Carciofo helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Lilywhites got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Carciofo. Lilywhites's Ercole Faiella proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Lilywhites from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Levent Hicran in the 26th minute of play forced Lilywhites's goalkeeper Ercole Faiella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ercole Faiella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lilywhites's Ercole Faiella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levent Hicran in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Tony Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Faiella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Augusto Graziani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ercole Faiella was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ercole Faiella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinu Dobre in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes in the game, Levent Hicran dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Lilywhites's goalkeeper Ercole Faiella had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Graziani. In the 43rd minute, San Mauro A Mare FC's Levent Hicran dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Levent Hicran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ercole Faiella having to make a save. Lilywhites's Ercole Faiella proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Lilywhites from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Levent Hicran in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ercole Faiella prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Lilywhites's goal looked a bit too open when Levent Hicran came free, but Ercole Faiella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Levent Hicran in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ercole Faiella prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lilywhites's Ercole Faiella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Rosa in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Levent Hicran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Faiella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Mauro A Mare FC made a substitution. Alex Orsi replaced Levent Hicran. San Mauro A Mare FC's Vasco Bento was substituted for Francesco Cremonese. San Mauro A Mare FC's Trey Cai was substituted for Tony Rosa. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Alex Orsi managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Mauro A Mare FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Orsi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ercole Faiella breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ercole Faiella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Orsi in the 72nd minute of play. Ercole Faiella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Orsi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Orsi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ercole Faiella read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. After 77 minutes Lilywhites's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dinu Dobre who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Vasco Bento heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Alex Orsi came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the San Mauro A Mare FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Orsi couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Lilywhites defense, Alex Orsi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ercole Faiella. The Lilywhites fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ercole Faiella should have stopped the shot. Alex Orsi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samir Afacan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Pasquale in the 86th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, San Mauro A Mare FC's Alex Orsi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ercole Faiella narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute of the match San Mauro A Mare FC got a corner. Lilywhites's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dinu Dobre ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led San Mauro A Mare FC's Vasco Bento to fire away a dangerous shot which Ercole Faiella despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 90th play minutes Alex Orsi shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Ercole Faiella and just under the crossbar into goal. 95 minutes into the match, Alex Orsi notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Lilywhites's Ercole Faiella. Ercole Faiella was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
