The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 2 minutes, Alfonso Giovannelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LATIUM's Fausto De Bonis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Novaes in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, ASD USAC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Giovannelli came free, but Anartz Naranjo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, ASD USAC's Dedé Pires got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Silas Novaes made a precise shot to the right of Fausto De Bonis. LATIUM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dedé Pires in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto De Bonis saved LATIUM from getting behind. Anartz Naranjo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Zhi Yu in the 21st minute of play. The ASD USAC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when ASD USAC's Dedé Pires looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 34 minutes into the match, LATIUM's Aurelio Oriali sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anartz Naranjo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of LATIUM booed when ASD USAC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Cacciatore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anartz Naranjo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Zhi Yu in the 38th minute of the match. Dedé Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Fausto De Bonis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto De Bonis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dedé Pires's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute Dedé Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto De Bonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half ASD USAC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Giovannelli made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, ASD USAC's Alexander De Lellis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fausto De Bonis narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
