In the 4th minute Amerigo Egger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Bartolomucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugenio Bartolomucci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amerigo Egger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Modesto Oakley came out and tried to block the shot, but Enrico Brambilla slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Róbert Szepes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lilywhites's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cacciola the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lilywhites's Róbert Szepes got a free kick in the 16th minute. Modesto Oakley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Federico Frabetti went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Nunez Hernando kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Ermanno Baratta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute Federico Frabetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Oakley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Lilywhites's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Paulo Renato Bittencourt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Eugenio Bartolomucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbert Szepes in the 33rd minute of play. When Cacciola's Federico Frabetti in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Federico Frabetti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Modesto Oakley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Frabetti in the 43rd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amerigo Egger to strike the kick off in the second half. Eugenio Bartolomucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Egger in the 57th minute of play. After 59 minutes Cacciola's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ermanno Baratta who took care of the corner kick. Ermanno Baratta made a great header on Lilywhites's corner, it was just that Cacciola's Eugenio Bartolomucci managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 60th minute Amerigo Egger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Bartolomucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cacciola's Davide Masetti got a free kick in the 67th minute. Dario Marziali was slow to take the kick. During this time Cacciola's players had a chance to rest. Lilywhites's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
