But to his dismay, Cosimo Michelini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Harry Brandelius's late challenge caught a San Michele AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harry Brandelius helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, Harry Brandelius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Alvaro Giusto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, San Michele AFC's goalkeeper Motta Rello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amerigo Egger. 31 minutes into the match, San Michele AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Brandelius came free, but Motta Rello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Motta Rello made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Róbert Szepes sent off a good shot on target. Motta Rello didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 34th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. San Michele AFC's Anastasio Tome got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alvaro Giusto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 69th minute, San Michele AFC's Alvaro Giusto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Modesto Oakley. Modesto Oakley yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. If Dennis Mosca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 76th match minute, San Michele AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felice Zinni to maneuver through the defense. When Anastasio Tome fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Michele AFC's protests and gave Anastasio Tome a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to San Michele AFC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Anastasio Tome hit a great ball. Alvaro Giusto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Modesto Oakley having to make a save. Modesto Oakley stood somewhat misplaced when Alvaro Giusto came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 88 minute. After 91 minutes of play, San Michele AFC's Ziemowit Kinic made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Modesto Oakley was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched San Michele AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
