The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Forlano got free with Bianco Altobelli in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dave Ianni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Oier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes in the game, Frederik Dams dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Frederik Dams's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dave Ianni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Frederik Dams blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dave Ianni having to make a save. Noah Braswell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Bianco Altobelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lupi Grigi's Frederik Dams, in the 34th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Lupi Grigi. Bianco Altobelli was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Filippo Caneva. Dave Ianni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bianco Sforza, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After some careless play in the spazzolareal defense, Felix Oier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dave Ianni. The spazzolareal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dave Ianni should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Lupi Grigi's Bianco Altobelli got control of the ball when Ernesto Forlano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

spazzolareal made a substitution. Fortunato Tagliente replaced Alberigo Albertini. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonello Bencivenni made a kick off. A collision led to Lupi Grigi getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Bianco Sforza hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Bianco Sforza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Forlano in the 62nd minute of play forced Lupi Grigi's goalkeeper Bianco Altobelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bianco Altobelli came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by spazzolareal's Ernesto Forlano. But to his dismay, Ernesto Forlano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 81st minute Felix Oier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Ianni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Bruno Petrucci notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of spazzolareal's Dave Ianni. Dave Ianni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 96th match minute, Lupi Grigi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elia Gismondi to maneuver through the defense. Lupi Grigi were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over spazzolareal's much stronger midfield.
