Real Piazza 1982's Lorenzo Balbo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felice Anzolin in the 10 minute of the game. 15 minutes into the match, Coviolo's goal looked a bit too open when Dietbald Munderloh came free, but Concetto Canzano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dietbald Munderloh struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Concetto Canzano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Piazza 1982. Real Piazza 1982's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dietbald Munderloh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Coviolo's Comunardo Marzoli in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The tension between the Coviolo and the Real Piazza 1982 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Dietbald Munderloh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Concetto Canzano was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Comunardo Marzoli got free with Alfredo Mariotti in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Coviolo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Real Piazza 1982 were winning 0-1.

Real Piazza 1982's Teodor Pască was substituted for Peter Larsfält. Alfredo Mariotti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Comunardo Marzoli in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Real Piazza 1982 booed when Coviolo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesare Di Loreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dietbald Munderloh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Concetto Canzano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Concetto Canzano was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Dietbald Munderloh capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dietbald Munderloh really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Alberto Frezza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coviolo's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Frezza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Mariotti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dietbald Munderloh who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Concetto Canzano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Real Piazza 1982's Alfredo Mariotti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Teodori in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Real Piazza 1982's Dietbald Munderloh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Concetto Canzano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coviolo. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Christian Teodori managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coviolo's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Teodori was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Mariotti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by 孔松翀 in the 87th minute of play forced Coviolo's goalkeeper Concetto Canzano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebahattin Üsküplü lost his temper 90 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When 孔松翀 came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Real Piazza 1982 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 孔松翀 couldn't finish the play. Concetto Canzano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 孔松翀 in the 98th minute of the match. The Coviolo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Real Piazza 1982 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
