Davide Rinaldi might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugenio Lorenzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davide Rinaldi ran back to his position shaking his head. Eugenio Lorenzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davide Rinaldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The throw-in from Corder Nunn in the 11th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Herta Budino's Angelo Di Livio. Herta Budino were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Juventus F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fábio Grosso took the corner. Herta Budino's Fábio Grosso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eugenio Lorenzi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fortunato Sangermano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlo Montanari's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. After 19 played minutes Herta Budino got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Velasco. In the 20th minute, Kleanthis Zoumakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd match minute, Herta Budino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kleanthis Zoumakis to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the game, Corder Nunn threw the ball into play from the sideline. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davide Rinaldi made a kick off. Herta Budino's Fortunato Sangermano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo De Toni in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Rinaldi in the 52nd minute of play forced Juventus F.C.'s goalkeeper Eugenio Lorenzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herta Budino's Fortunato Sangermano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Herta Budino from getting a goal against them. Fortunato Sangermano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Caniggia in the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of Herta Budino booed when Juventus F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlo Montanari didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute Bernardo Benarrivo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Sangermano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Corder Nunn in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Herta Budino's Angelo Di Livio. Zlatan Winger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fortunato Sangermano came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Juventus F.C.'s Bernardo Benarrivo. But to his dismay, Bernardo Benarrivo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Herta Budino's Eusebiu Tuleiu was substituted for Achille Di Crescenzo. The Herta Budino fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Juventus F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
