The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. GiaSiRo 08's Aldo Lemme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Santo in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, GiaSiRo 08's Frank Giannetta got a free kick in the 14th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ettore Santo got free with Aldo Lemme in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Ettore Santo made a precise shot to the right of Aldo Lemme. GiaSiRo 08's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Felice Tacco was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Ettore Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 31st minute, Arrigo Masi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Frank Vulcano managed to get in a good position for a shot. GiaSiRo 08's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Vulcano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélio O'Connell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Santo in the 73rd minute of play forced GiaSiRo 08's goalkeeper Aldo Lemme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
