Maritek FC's Hélio O'Connell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Rinaldi in the 8th minute of play. In the 15th minute Ettore Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Sangermano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Codrin Tăgorean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugenio Palumbo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fortunato Sangermano. Herta Budino's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio Zarillo in the 26th minute of play forced Herta Budino's goalkeeper Fortunato Sangermano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Herta Budino's zone, Ferruccio Zarillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunato Sangermano came out of the goal and Ferruccio Zarillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Herta Budino booed when Maritek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ettore Santo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 played minutes Maritek FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrea Mariani. Felice Tacco hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferruccio Zarillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Fortunato Sangermano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Zarillo in the 52nd minute of the match. Fortunato Sangermano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Santo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Davide Rinaldi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hélio O'Connell having to make a save. After 57 played minutes Maritek FC got a freekick which was hit by Amola Bamba. In the 58th minute Fábio Grosso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio O'Connell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 minutes, Andrea Mariani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maritek FC and the Herta Budino players grew even worse after the yellow card. Andrea Mariani hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Herta Budino's Johannes Fransson was substituted for Adam Baldy. Fortunato Sangermano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferruccio Zarillo in the 80th minute.
