NAPOLI's Achille Albanesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Taranto in the 6th minute of play. Konstantin Butylin took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Achille Albanesi. Achille Albanesi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a little luck, Gladiator FC's Elpidio Bilintx got control of the ball when Fulvio Grande tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elpidio Bilintx made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulvio Grande in the 20th minute. Achille Albanesi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantin Butylin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Achille Albanesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Taranto in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match Gladiator FC got a corner. S.S.C. NAPOLI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Michael-Elvis Flumian ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Gladiator FC's Mete Carne to fire away a dangerous shot which Achille Albanesi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Achille Albanesi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Nixon in the 82nd minute of play forced Gladiator FC's goalkeeper Elpidio Bilintx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Nixon might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elpidio Bilintx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Richard Nixon ran back to his position shaking his head. Vaggelis Mitsiou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Albanesi having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Ciccio Bassani left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.S.C. NAPOLI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
