Thanks to some nice moves Gísli Langnickel could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Roman Matai however easily saved by the left post. In the 79th minute, Gísli Langnickel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Roman Matai. The goal made the score 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Fulgenzi in the 95th minute of play forced Velester Football Club's goalkeeper Roman Matai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Aversa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aversa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
