If Gísli Langnickel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 16 minutes into the match, Seggiano's goal looked a bit too open when Gísli Langnickel came free, but Eugenio Colecchia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugenio Colecchia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gísli Langnickel in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Gísli Langnickel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugenio Colecchia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eugenio Colecchia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gísli Langnickel in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, one of Seggiano:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the Seggiano defense, Beppe Berardinelli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugenio Colecchia. The Seggiano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugenio Colecchia should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Seggiano's zone, Gísli Langnickel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Colecchia came out of the goal and Gísli Langnickel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eugenio Colecchia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gísli Langnickel in the 39th minute of play. Fabrizio Mazzocco got a throw-in 42 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Daniele Massaro. Eugenio Colecchia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gísli Langnickel went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gísli Langnickel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gísli Langnickel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 52nd minute Gísli Langnickel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Colecchia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seggiano's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Anselmo Fulgenzi scored to the left of an out of position Eugenio Colecchia, making the score, 0-7. Eugenio Colecchia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Puce in the 91st minute of the match. Anselmo Fulgenzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugenio Colecchia having to make a save. Aversa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
