NAPOLI's Achille Albanesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesare Del Duca in the 7th minute of play. Eugenio Colecchia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulvio Muzzolon, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After 18 minutes of play, S.S.C. NAPOLI's Ciccio Bassani made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugenio Colecchia was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, Fulvio Muzzolon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugenio Colecchia. Seggiano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fulvio Muzzolon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Eugenio Colecchia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fulvio Muzzolon went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Seggiano's Elia Cellucci managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fabrício Carmo in the 37 minute of the game. Eugenio Colecchia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulvio Grande in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Fulvio Muzzolon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugenio Colecchia. NAPOLI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulvio Muzzolon to maneuver through the defense. Giovanni Falcone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Achille Albanesi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Seggiano players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. S.S.C. NAPOLI were winning 1-6.

53 minutes into the match, Ciccio Bassani notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of Seggiano's Eugenio Colecchia. Eugenio Colecchia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eugenio Colecchia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulvio Muzzolon in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the match, S.S.C. NAPOLI's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Falcone came free, but Achille Albanesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fulvio Grande got free with Eugenio Colecchia in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 61 played minutes Seggiano got a freekick which was hit by Elia Cellucci. In the 63rd minute of the match, Fulvio Muzzolon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eugenio Colecchia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fulvio Grande's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Eugenio Colecchia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Giovanni Falcone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Jakub Moder was substituted for Fulvio Muzzolon. With a little luck, Seggiano's Eugenio Colecchia got control of the ball when Dave Pierucci tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Alessio Nola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Seggiano's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ciccio Bassani fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Eugenio Colecchia stood somewhat misplaced when Dave Pierucci came free in front of goal and shot 1-8 to the left of him in the 75 minute. Dave Pierucci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Eugenio Colecchia made a huge save. 78 minutes into the match, Seggiano's goalkeeper Eugenio Colecchia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dave Pierucci. 82 minutes into the game, Dave Pierucci recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eugenio Colecchia. Dave Pierucci showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-9. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Dave Pierucci managed to work through Seggiano's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Dave Pierucci dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After some careless play in the Seggiano defense, Dave Pierucci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugenio Colecchia. The Seggiano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugenio Colecchia should have stopped the shot. 96 minutes into the match, Seggiano's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Pierucci came free, but Eugenio Colecchia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.S.C. NAPOLI's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
