Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Göksel Taşdan made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Egil Sjögren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darrel Pennington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Loco Palermo fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montesacro FC's protests and gave Loco Palermo a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Montesacro FC got a freekick which was hit by Loco Palermo. Göksel Taşdan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Giacomo Casanova made a huge save. 64 minutes into the match, Puianello FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Rossi came free, but Darrel Pennington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darrel Pennington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Puianello FC's goalkeeper Darrel Pennington, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Giacomo Casanova took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göksel Taşdan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Puianello FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Puianello FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
