An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Corleone in the 41st minute of play forced Longobarda's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Savicevic Show were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Edwin Godholm might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Salemme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edwin Godholm ran back to his position shaking his head. If Edwin Godholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lev Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Tomasso in the 62nd minute of play. Anthimos Vougas kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Lev Yashin made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Adriano Corleone sent off a good shot on target. Longobarda made a substitution. Damiano Trasatti replaced Franco Sciamanna. Longobarda's Fabiano Canzano was substituted for Edwin Godholm. Lev Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Moriggi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Salemme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Canzano in the 79th minute of play. Longobarda were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Savicevic Show's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manuel Zărnescu took the corner. After taking down the ball on Longobarda's corner Manuel Zărnescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Armando Salemme quite easily take care of the ball. The throw-in from Arnulfo Riba in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Savicevic Show's Ermanno Giacchetti. 86 minutes into the match, Adriano Corleone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lev Yashin. Longobarda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adriano Corleone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Longobarda's Arnulfo Riba quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ermanno Giacchetti, made in the 91st minute of the game. Savicevic Show's Armando Salemme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Cocca in the 94th minute of play. A hard shot 96 in the game by Adriano Corleone from a close distance when the talented Lev Yashin managed to make a qualified save. Longobarda's players were relieved.
