The audience thought a goal was coming when Zsolt Szeszák got free with Géza Nyíri in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ötvöskónyi ETO were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Fortuna FC Abony's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tibor Ábrahám took the corner. Márk Takács sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Ötvöskónyi ETO's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zsolt Szeszák fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 27th minute, Endre Balla had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Levente Irmai fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fortuna FC Abony's protests and gave Levente Irmai a yellow card for diving instead. Ötvöskónyi ETO made a substitution. Péter Füzesi replaced Endre Balla. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Márk Takács in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dömötör Szakál prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Zsolt Szeszák had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Levente Tóth made a kick off. Ákos Veress thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Géza Nyíri, a very annoying self made goal in the 52nd minute which led to 1-0. After 56 played minutes, Fortuna FC Abony's Norbert Toldi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Géza Nyíri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fortuna FC Abony reached it. In the 57th minute, Sándor Urbán hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th match minute, Fortuna FC Abony was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Toldi to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute Márk Takács shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dömötör Szakál saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Géza Nyíri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Levente Tóth's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Ötvöskónyi ETO may have spent more time on the ball, but Fortuna FC Abony were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
