Károly Lányi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pál Kozák got free with Hauge Bregenholm in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute Pál Kozák shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hauge Bregenholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If György Huszti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Félix Kásás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Károly Lányi having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Szeged SE's goal looked a bit too open when György Huszti came free, but Károly Lányi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Kétballábas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Füzesi to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the game, Kétballábas FC's Félix Kásás nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Károly Lányi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Szeged SE's Olivér Dósa got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by György Huszti in the 30th minute of play forced Szeged SE's goalkeeper Károly Lányi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Károly Lányi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Kasiewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miklós Simon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Hauge Bregenholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Károly Lányi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Félix Kásás in the 38th minute of the match. In the 44th minute Félix Kásás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Károly Lányi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Róbert Moravecz charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Róbert Moravecz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Róbert Moravecz hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. If Félix Kásás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Félix Kásás stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Félix Kásás's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Károly Lányi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Olivér Dósa's late challenge caught a Kétballábas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olivér Dósa helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Szeged SE got a freekick which was hit by Olivér Dósa. Károly Lányi made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when György Huszti sent off a good shot on target. Kétballábas FC's Daniel Kasiewski got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. György Huszti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Kasiewski in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Károly Lányi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hauge Bregenholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pál Kozák, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Szeged SE's goal looked a bit too open when Félix Kásás came free, but Károly Lányi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Kétballábas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Ferenc to maneuver through the defense. Casper Söderström kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Csongor Kiss lost his temper 83 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 82nd minute, one of Kétballábas FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kétballábas FC. Hauge Bregenholm didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pál Kozák went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Daniel Kasiewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by György Huszti in the 90th minute of play forced Szeged SE's goalkeeper Károly Lányi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
