In the 5th minute, Szalai Football Club's Richárd Virágh dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a little luck, Turul FC's Félix Boros got control of the ball when Milán Bognár tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugó Szalai in the 14th minute of play forced Szalai Football Club's goalkeeper Gyula Csányi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lajos Károlyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Szalai Football Club booed when Turul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fülöp Bolla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richárd Virágh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Félix Boros having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Szalai Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Richárd Virágh. Milán Bognár who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Félix Boros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 32 minutes into the match, Turul FC's goalkeeper Félix Boros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milán Bognár. In the 33rd minute, Richárd Virágh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kálmán Segesváry in the 39th minute of play forced Szalai Football Club's goalkeeper Gyula Csányi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milán Bognár fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Félix Boros having to interfere. When Milán Bognár came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Szalai Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milán Bognár couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Turul FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Milán Bognár fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Richárd Virágh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Félix Boros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richárd Virágh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Richárd Virágh took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Félix Boros. Félix Boros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Félix Boros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richárd Virágh's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. 69 minutes into the match, Szalai Football Club's goalkeeper Gyula Csányi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugó Szalai. Milán Bognár sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute Richárd Virágh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Félix Boros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kálmán Segesváry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Kálmán Segesváry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Turul FC booed when Szalai Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. László Havass didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Kálmán Segesváry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugó Szalai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Szalai Football Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
