Spectators: 7771 (Terracing: 5829, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 155) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when János Tímár got the match started through his kick off. Southampton 1885's Norbert Fejes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dávid Vándor in the 3rd minute of play. Konstantin Pál received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Mátyás Kántor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrik Buday sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mecsér's goalkeeper Mátyás Kántor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. János Tímár received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Norbert Fejes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Southampton 1885's goal looked a bit too open when Dávid Vándor came free, but Norbert Fejes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. János Tímár sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Southampton 1885 booed when Mecsér was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zakariás Ábrahám didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes in the game, Konstantin Pál fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mátyás Kántor having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Mecsér got a freekick which was hit by Gergely Szigethy. Dávid Vándor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. János Tímár received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Norbert Fejes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 56th minute, Konstantin Pál ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mátyás Kántor was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Norbert Fejes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dávid Vándor in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by János Tímár in the 70th minute of play forced Southampton 1885's goalkeeper Norbert Fejes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konstantin Pál recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Henrik Buday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norbert Fejes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from János Tímár in the 83rd minute of play. When Dávid Vándor came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Mecsér fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dávid Vándor couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, János Tímár got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Konstantin Pál might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mátyás Kántor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Konstantin Pál ran back to his position shaking his head. Southampton 1885 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mecsér for a fine match.
