The supporters of Magyartelek OSE booed when Aranycsapat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Károly Döbrögi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Károly Döbrögi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Magyartelek OSE's zone, Zalán Sallay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zsolt Csapó came out of the goal and Zalán Sallay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Károly Döbrögi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Zsolt Csapó tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute Károly Döbrögi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zsolt Csapó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aranycsapat's Antal Szép played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by József Zádori in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Miklós Szász hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Aranycsapat getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. József Újházi hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Jakab Fülöp got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When József Újházi fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aranycsapat's protests and gave József Újházi a yellow card for diving instead. József Újházi hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Károly Döbrögi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Zalán Sallay notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Magyartelek OSE's Zsolt Csapó. Zsolt Csapó was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 48 minutes, Zalán Sallay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aranycsapat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zalán Sallay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Aranycsapat were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Sándor Vass fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aranycsapat's protests and gave Sándor Vass a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Aranycsapat's Sándor Vass got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Magyartelek OSE's Jácint Boros tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakab Fülöp in the 55th minute of play forced Aranycsapat's goalkeeper Antal Szép to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Aranycsapat's Zalán Sallay dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Károly Döbrögi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aranycsapat's supporters rose to their feet, but Károly Döbrögi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zsolt Csapó breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jakab Fülöp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aranycsapat were furious when Sándor Vass was red carded, 76 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 75th minute, one of Aranycsapat:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aranycsapat. Jácint Boros placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Antal Szép didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Magyartelek OSE's József Zádori shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. A collision led to Aranycsapat getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Géza Bollobás hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Aranycsapat's Károly Döbrögi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zsolt Csapó narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When József Újházi came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Aranycsapat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that József Újházi couldn't finish the play. After 90 played minutes Aranycsapat got a freekick which was hit by Zalán Sallay. Jácint Boros, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Jakab Fülöp came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Magyartelek OSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakab Fülöp couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, Aranycsapat's Károly Döbrögi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zsolt Csapó narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 97th minute of the game. One of Aranycsapat:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Magyartelek OSE:s goal. The Aranycsapat supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aranycsapat would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
