When Iván Kiss fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edit FC's protests and gave Iván Kiss a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Edit FC's Kálmán Gombos got control of the ball when Zsombor Tunyogi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Zsombor Tunyogi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kálmán Gombos. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Edit FC's Kálmán Gombos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Edit FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by László Kállay in the 24th minute of play forced Edit FC's goalkeeper Kálmán Gombos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Attila Sári managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edit FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Attila Sári was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Máté Irmai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edit FC's Kálmán Gombos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Edit FC from getting a goal against them. Kálmán Gombos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Álmos Zornánszky went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Kálmán Gombos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zsombor Tunyogi in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Attila Sári suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Mihály Dobó hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Máté Irmai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from József Horváth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Balázs Gáspár stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kálmán Gombos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from László Kállay in the 52nd minute of play. Kálmán Gombos came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Kory Ravens's Balázs Gáspár. But to his dismay, Balázs Gáspár quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. László Kállay scored 4-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kálmán Gombos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kálmán Gombos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from László Kállay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Kory Ravens booed when Edit FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilmos Kovács didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roland Ábrahám took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kálmán Gombos. Edit FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kálmán Gombos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Balázs Gáspár went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. 81 minutes into the match, Álmos Zornánszky notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Edit FC's Kálmán Gombos. Kálmán Gombos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Gyula Kinizsi managed to get in a good position for a shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kory Ravens fans cheered their team off the field, for while Edit FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
