In the 5thth minute of the game Kálmán Bolla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maldini F.C's Zsolt Fehér was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 8th minute Zsigmond Szívós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zsolt Fehér saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richárd Szűcs's late challenge caught a Szegvár SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richárd Szűcs helped the player get up and apologised. Richárd Szűcs kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. If Zsigmond Szívós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Kálmán Bolla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szegvár SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Miklós Mátrai made an important save on a dangerous shot by János Pádár in the 17th minute. Miklós Mátrai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Vígh, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbert Vígh in the 37th minute of play forced Szegvár SK's goalkeeper Miklós Mátrai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kálmán Bolla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Zsolt Fehér tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kálmán Bolla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
