With an extended leg and a bit of luck Árpád Pásztor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Zsolt Csapó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. Polgár's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ervin Weszely was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Károly Csank did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Árpád Pásztor 72 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Zsolt Csapó fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
