After 3 played minutes Vasas FC got a freekick which was hit by Antal Molnár. Miklós Benkó recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Árpád Pásztor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miklós Benkó in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Zalaegerszegi Dózsa's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Molnár came free, but Árpád Pásztor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vasas FC's Antal Molnár got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Vasas FC got a freekick which was hit by Antal Molnár. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gábor Selymes in the 16th minute of play forced Vasas FC's goalkeeper Olivér Bögi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Csaba Csorba hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Gábor Selymes might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olivér Bögi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gábor Selymes ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertalan Szatmári in the 19th minute of play forced Vasas FC's goalkeeper Olivér Bögi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Tamás Albert made a precise shot to the right of Olivér Bögi. Vasas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Olivér Bögi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gábor Selymes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Zalaegerszegi Dózsa booed when Vasas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zsolt Kaiser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasas FC's Olivér Bögi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tamás Albert in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Zalaegerszegi Dózsa's goalkeeper Árpád Pásztor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Molnár. Zalaegerszegi Dózsa's Árpád Pásztor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Molnár in the 38th minute of play. Vasas FC's Miklós Benkó was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 40th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Olivér Bögi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gábor Selymes went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 47th minute Gábor Selymes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olivér Bögi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tamás Albert to strike the kick off in the second half. Antal Molnár took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Árpád Pásztor. Árpád Pásztor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Dávid Szántó recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domonkos Honti in the 56th minute of play forced Zalaegerszegi Dózsa's goalkeeper Árpád Pásztor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antal Molnár scored 3-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Árpád Pásztor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Domonkos Honti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Árpád Pásztor was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. When Antal Molnár came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Vasas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Molnár couldn't finish the play. Árpád Pásztor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Molnár went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. After 83 played minutes Vasas FC got a freekick which was hit by Antal Molnár. After 85 played minutes Zalaegerszegi Dózsa got a freekick which was hit by Bertalan Szatmári. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antal Molnár in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Árpád Pásztor saved Zalaegerszegi Dózsa from getting behind. Árpád Pásztor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zsolt Kaiser, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
