With a left leg Lajos Kocsis saved Hedrehely VTK from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Hedrehely VTK's goal looked a bit too open when Péter Kósa came free, but Lajos Kocsis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richárd Kováts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lajos Kocsis having to interfere. Csaba Baráth in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lajos Kocsis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lajos Kocsis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Péter Kósa, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Újpesti Torna Egyesület's goal looked a bit too open when Lóránt Angyal came free, but Brúnó Buday reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Csaba Baráth made the kick off in the second half. Újpesti Torna Egyesület's Péter Kósa got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brúnó Buday came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Hedrehely VTK's Máté Sipos. But to his dismay, Máté Sipos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 60th minute Pál Kis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lajos Kocsis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bálint Zolnai struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Lajos Kocsis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Újpesti Torna Egyesület. Újpesti Torna Egyesület's Péter Kósa got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Csaba Baráth in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lajos Kocsis saved Hedrehely VTK from getting behind. Újpesti Torna Egyesület's Brúnó Buday played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dömötör Menyhért in the 81st minute of play. Lajos Kocsis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bálint Zolnai, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Benedek Titkos hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Bálint Zolnai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Bálint Zolnai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Újpesti Torna Egyesület's supporters rose to their feet, but Bálint Zolnai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lajos Kocsis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Újpesti Torna Egyesület's Csaba Baráth in 97 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Lajos Kocsis guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Újpesti Torna Egyesület players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
