When Marcell Zombori fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hakikapsz's protests and gave Marcell Zombori a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Hakikapsz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcell Zombori to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Hakikapsz's goal looked a bit too open when József Hollósi came free, but György Virág reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mátyás Váradi in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gyula Zombori saved Football Fanatics from getting behind. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mátyás Váradi sped through Football Fanatics's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gyula Zombori. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Milán Szőnyi took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for György Virág to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Hakikapsz booed when Football Fanatics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Béla Berki didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Gergely Szakál cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gyula Zombori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gyula Zombori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from András Kovács in the 46th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tibor Paszkál during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Milán Szőnyi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but György Virág made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when József Hollósi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hakikapsz's goalkeeper György Virág, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gergely Szakál blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gyula Zombori having to make a save. Gyula Zombori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mátyás Váradi, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 78 minutes Football Fanatics's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Henrik Zombori who took care of the corner kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mátyás Váradi couldn't finish the play. Mátyás Váradi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gyula Zombori having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Hakikapsz's Mátyás Váradi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gyula Zombori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Milán Szőnyi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but György Virág read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. With a little luck, Football Fanatics's Gyula Zombori got control of the ball when Gergely Szakál tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hakikapsz eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
