The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sándor Tököli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Renátó Vörös tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bánk Földesi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from János Budai, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Bánk Földesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from János Budai in the 14th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Red Bull Budapest got a freekick which was hit by Bertalan Héj. Red Bull Budapest's Bánk Földesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by János Budai in the 19th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Tiszaug's goal looked a bit too open when Pál Boros came free, but Renátó Vörös reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Red Bull Budapest's Boldizsár Takács got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Bánk Földesi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeromos Szőlősi in the 35th minute. Renátó Vörös made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pál Boros in the 44th minute of play.

After 54 played minutes Tiszaug got a freekick which was hit by István Görög. Sándor Tököli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renátó Vörös having to interfere. With a little luck, Tiszaug's Renátó Vörös got control of the ball when Pál Boros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pál Boros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Renátó Vörös made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, Pál Boros notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tiszaug's Renátó Vörös. Renátó Vörös was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mihály Zentay's late challenge caught a Red Bull Budapest's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihály Zentay helped the player get up and apologised. Tiszaug:s Renátó Vörös showed great skill when he stopped Gergely Oláh:s penalty. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tiszaug's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gergely Oláh was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Bull Budapest's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Sándor Tököli drilling the ball in to score 0-2 behind Tiszaug's goalkeeper. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sándor Tököli in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renátó Vörös prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 78 minutes, Pál Boros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Bull Budapest's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pál Boros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, János Budai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Red Bull Budapest's Bánk Földesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by János Budai in the 88th minute of play. Sándor Tököli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renátó Vörös having to interfere. When Jeromos Szőlősi fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tiszaug's protests and gave Jeromos Szőlősi a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 played minutes Tiszaug got a freekick which was hit by Jeromos Szőlősi. After some careless play in the Tiszaug defense, Pál Boros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renátó Vörös. The Tiszaug fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renátó Vörös should have stopped the shot. The Tiszaug supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Red Bull Budapest's performance. The match ended with a win for Red Bull Budapest.
