The Red Bull Budapest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bánk Földesi should have stopped the shot. In the 8th minute, Bertalan Héj had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. In the 9th minute, Fábián Balla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the game, Antal Szalontai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Bull Budapest's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Lecsike the free kick. In the 10th match minute, Red Bull Budapest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antal Szalontai to maneuver through the defense. Bánk Földesi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gedeon Csontos in the 12th minute. A collision led to Fc Lecsike getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jakab Tóth hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Gergely Oláh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Bull Budapest's supporters rose to their feet, but Gergely Oláh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Géza Battai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Red Bull Budapest's goalkeeper Bánk Földesi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 20 played minutes Red Bull Budapest got a freekick which was hit by Boldizsár Lantos. In the 21st match minute, Red Bull Budapest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boldizsár Takács to maneuver through the defense. Dániel Murai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bánk Földesi having to make a save. Red Bull Budapest's Bánk Földesi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Red Bull Budapest from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Boldizsár Takács hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elek Farkas got free with Bánk Földesi in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Red Bull Budapest's Bánk Földesi got control of the ball when Elek Farkas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Péter Vadas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gedeon Csontos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bánk Földesi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Péter Vadas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bánk Földesi having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Péter Vadas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Lecsike's supporters rose to their feet, but Péter Vadas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bánk Földesi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Fábián Balla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Fábián Balla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute Elek Farkas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bánk Földesi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Red Bull Budapest's zone, Gedeon Csontos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bánk Földesi came out of the goal and Gedeon Csontos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gedeon Csontos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elek Farkas in the 68th minute of play forced Red Bull Budapest's goalkeeper Bánk Földesi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Pál Boros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elek Farkas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Bánk Földesi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elek Farkas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bánk Földesi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elek Farkas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Péter Vadas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Lecsike's supporters rose to their feet, but Péter Vadas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bánk Földesi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
