Lóránt Havasi kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, one of SSC Nápolyi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Boldizsár Ónodi, was totally fooled by Nagybánhegyes SK's Lénárd Seres, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lóránt Havasi during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Sebestyén Szűcs came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the SSC Nápolyi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebestyén Szűcs couldn't finish the play. Attila Kecskés received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Endre Sipos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Endre Sipos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebestyén Szűcs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 32 minutes, Attila Kecskés managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SSC Nápolyi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Attila Kecskés was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Attila Kecskés fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Endre Sipos having to interfere. Antal Berkes's late challenge caught a Nagybánhegyes SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antal Berkes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th minute, Antal Berkes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebestyén Szűcs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of SSC Nápolyi booed when Nagybánhegyes SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lóránt Havasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Attila Kecskés's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Endre Sipos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the SSC Nápolyi players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nagybánhegyes SK.
