Spectators: 7988 (Terracing: 5992, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when András Győri kicked off to start the match. Mózes Víg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Bódi in the 6th minute of play. Soma Bernáth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurél Makkai in the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of Szolnok FC booed when Apollon Grimaszol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gergely Szegedi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Szolnok FC's István Sipos got a free kick in the 16th minute. Apollon Grimaszol's attentive László Jósa managed to snatch the ball when Máté Láng made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. Márió Sinkovits fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Soma Bernáth having to interfere. Szolnok FC's Mózes Víg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by András Győri in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Aurél Makkai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Szolnok FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurél Makkai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Soma Bernáth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When András Győri came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Apollon Grimaszol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that András Győri couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Apollon Grimaszol booed when Szolnok FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakab Benczur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mátyás Bagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mózes Víg having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Antal Pölöskei fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Apollon Grimaszol's protests and gave Antal Pölöskei a yellow card for diving instead. András Győri struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Mózes Víg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apollon Grimaszol. István Sipos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. András Győri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Soma Bernáth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márió Sinkovits, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Márió Sinkovits couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute András Győri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mózes Víg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chants of Szolnok FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Apollon Grimaszol had held the ball for most of the match.
