In the 3rd minute, Bp. Erőmű SE's Lóránd Demeter dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 5 minutes into the game, Ottó Szőlősi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bp. Erőmű SE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Madrid the free kick. A collision led to Bp. Erőmű SE getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Ottó Szőlősi hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Madrid's goalkeeper Mihály Bencik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Endre Bakos. If Endre Bakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Norbert Túri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihály Bertha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dömötör Grósz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Márton Benkó notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Bp. Erőmű SE's Norbert Túri. Norbert Túri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 27 played minutes Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Mihály Bertha. Endre Bakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márton Benkó in the 39th minute of play forced Bp. Erőmű SE's goalkeeper Norbert Túri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lóránd Demeter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Madrid's goalkeeper Mihály Bencik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Endre Bakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Bp. Erőmű SE booed when Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonz Lévay didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Endre Bakos to strike the kick off in the second half. Sándor Kováts kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Lóránd Demeter took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mihály Bencik. Mihály Bencik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Lajos Buzánszki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Túri having to interfere. When Márton Benkó, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 63 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Norbert Túri was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 67 minutes, Lóránd Demeter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bp. Erőmű SE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lóránd Demeter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mihály Bencik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lóránd Demeter went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Endre Bakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Mihály Bencik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Márton Benkó's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Norbert Túri skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Norbert Túri was a little too slow when Márton Benkó got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 3-2. In the 86th minute Lóránd Demeter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihály Bencik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Endre Bakos came free, but Mihály Bencik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihály Bertha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bp. Erőmű SE fully deserved thier win.
