Spectators: 5310 (Terracing: 4200, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 10) Medárd Deák made the kick off and thus started the match. If Gyula Török had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tamás Kántor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Péter Salamon went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Medárd Deák's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tamás Kántor firmly grabbed it by the left post. 11 minutes in the game, Medárd Deák fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tamás Kántor having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jana FC's zone, András Bogdán stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zsolt Szentesi came out of the goal and András Bogdán tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tivadar Csonka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamás Kántor having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Zsolt Dénes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Jana FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Tivadar Csonka hit a great ball. After 36 played minutes Jana FC got a freekick which was hit by Lóránt Herman. Csaba Gál's late challenge caught a Diósgyőr VTK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Csaba Gál helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Jana FC's Csaba Gál got a free kick in the 41st minute. Zsolt Szentesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gyula Török in the 42nd minute of play. András Bogdán received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zsolt Szentesi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zsolt Dénes in the 47th minute of play forced Jana FC's goalkeeper Zsolt Szentesi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

In the 51st minute of the match Csaba Gál shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tamás Kántor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tamás Zornánszky hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 58 played minutes Jana FC got a freekick which was hit by Álmos Bihari. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Zsolt Szentesi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 61 minutes into the match, Gyula Török dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zsolt Szentesi, 2-2. Gyula Török recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Csaba Gál hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Zsolt Szentesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zsolt Dénes in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Jana FC's Tivadar Csonka got a free kick in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Péter Salamon in the 81st minute of play forced Diósgyőr VTK's goalkeeper Tamás Kántor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Zsolt Dénes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diósgyőr VTK's supporters rose to their feet, but Zsolt Dénes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zsolt Szentesi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tamás Kántor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tivadar Csonka went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Tamás Kántor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Medárd Deák, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Diósgyőr VTK's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Jana FC had won, even though Diósgyőr VTK had held more of the ball.
