The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Steel Colony's Krisztián Szentes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dániel Szűcs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sándor Edelényi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ádám Czakó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ádám Czakó scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sándor Edelényi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Péter Kőváry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ádám Czakó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ádám Czakó took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sándor Edelényi. Sándor Edelényi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Dániel Szűcs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milán Nyitrai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th match minute, Bajnokcsapat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by András Sebők to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Krisztián Szentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dániel Szűcs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Steel Colony's goalkeeper Sándor Edelényi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Krisztián Szentes made a kick off. A collision led to Bajnokcsapat getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Gergely Czakó hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Krisztián Szentes got free with Dániel Szűcs in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Bajnokcsapat's Károly Ballai got a free kick in the 58th minute. Rajmund Asztalos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dániel Szűcs having to interfere. Dániel Szűcs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Krisztián Szentes in the 61st minute. When Krisztián Szentes came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Steel Colony fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krisztián Szentes couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Balázs Zsinka during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Milán Nyitrai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Ádám Czakó got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dániel Szűcs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krisztián Szentes in the 78th minute of the match. In the 79th match minute, Bajnokcsapat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Péter Kőváry to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Bajnokcsapat booed when Steel Colony was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donald Fagot didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Bajnokcsapat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balázs Zsinka to maneuver through the defense. Donald Fagot hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Steel Colony's Krisztián Szentes got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 played minutes Bajnokcsapat got a freekick which was hit by Péter Kőváry. If Krisztián Szentes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Steel Colony players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bajnokcsapat.
