The tension between the Testvériség and the Sajópálfala FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 2 played minutes Testvériség got a freekick which was hit by László Tandori. The supporters of Sajópálfala FC booed when Testvériség was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kálmán Kertész didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Bulcsú Benke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Lajos Vásárhelyi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Árpád Józsa kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Bulcsú Benke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andor Hellinger got free with Lajos Vásárhelyi in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute, Gusztáv Bán had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Sajópálfala FC made a substitution. Márton Pulai replaced Gusztáv Bán. A collision led to Testvériség getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Kornél Nemes hit a great ball. Testvériség's Lajos Vásárhelyi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Testvériség from getting a goal against them. Sajópálfala FC's Bulcsú Benke got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 45 minutes, Andor Hellinger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sajópálfala FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andor Hellinger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bulcsú Benke made a kick off. Egon Vermes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ábel Végh in the 53rd minute of the match. László Tandori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Vermes having to interfere. Lajos Vásárhelyi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andor Hellinger in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute, Imre Kuti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lajos Vásárhelyi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andor Hellinger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Andor Hellinger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lajos Vásárhelyi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Testvériség's Lajos Vásárhelyi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krisztián Somogyi in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Bulcsú Benke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Lajos Vásárhelyi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. László Tandori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Egon Vermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
