Bulcsú Benke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pál Pénzes having to interfere. If Bulcsú Benke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Bulcsú Benke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. JVSC's Pál Pénzes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjámin Bodó in the 27th minute of play. Bulcsú Benke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pál Pénzes having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in JVSC's zone, Krisztián Somogyi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pál Pénzes came out of the goal and Krisztián Somogyi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind JVSC's goalkeeper Pál Pénzes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Boldizsár Oláh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pál Pénzes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bulcsú Benke, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Krisztián Somogyi might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pál Pénzes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Krisztián Somogyi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 42nd minute, Lajos Kovács ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egon Vermes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Sajópálfala FC's Bulcsú Benke got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. JVSC's Pál Pénzes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krisztián Somogyi in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Levente Gál to make the kick off. György Bánhegyi's late challenge caught a Sajópálfala FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. György Bánhegyi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, György Bánhegyi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. József Takács sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bulcsú Benke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pál Pénzes having to interfere. György Bánhegyi got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. György Bánhegyi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, one of JVSC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Egon Vermes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lajos Kovács, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjámin Bodó sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pál Pénzes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from András Demeter, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the Sajópálfala FC defense, Levente Gál kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egon Vermes. The Sajópálfala FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egon Vermes should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, JVSC could leave the field as winners, despite Sajópálfala FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
