The shot was stopped by Árpád Kállay but with some difficulty. In the 13th match minute, Arzignano Grifo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugó Pucheli to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Gyalóka booed when Arzignano Grifo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Dobi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Arzignano Grifo's goal looked a bit too open when Lukács Sipos came free, but Marcell Keresztes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute of the match, Ottó Mesterházy tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Árpád Kállay saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ottó Mesterházy was the one to do the kick off. Endre Soós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Marcell Keresztes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Zachariasz Matuch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gyalóka's supporters rose to their feet, but Zachariasz Matuch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcell Keresztes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tibor Dobi hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Marcell Keresztes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Endre Soós's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 0-1 became the score in the 60th minute when Zachariasz Matuch elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Árpád Kállay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Péter Földes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Péter Földes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Árpád Kállay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Árpád Kállay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Péter Földes in the 69th minute of play. Arzignano Grifo's Ottó Mesterházy got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Péter Földes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Gyalóka's zone, Ottó Mesterházy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Árpád Kállay came out of the goal and Ottó Mesterházy tried to chip the ball over his head. When the final whistle sounded Gyalóka left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Arzignano Grifo.
