The referee showed Lajos Albert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Monostorapáti SE booed when Gulács FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lajos Albert didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Imre Borbás stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Monostorapáti SE's Alfréd Zarka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lajos Albert in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Lajos Albert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfréd Zarka. Monostorapáti SE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lajos Albert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. József Varsányi took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfréd Zarka.
