Sándor Veress started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miklós Bánhegyi in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Balázs Bálint saved Going Down from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Miklós Bánhegyi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ugod's supporters rose to their feet, but Miklós Bánhegyi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Balázs Bálint breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miklós Bánhegyi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Balázs Bálint tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sándor Veress in the 11th minute of play forced Ugod's goalkeeper Márió Szőnyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Balázs Bálint came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Ugod's Miklós Bánhegyi. But to his dismay, Miklós Bánhegyi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of Going Down booed when Ugod was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tamás Major didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Imre Varga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sándor Veress had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Ugod's goal looked a bit too open when Sándor Veress came free, but Márió Szőnyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Márió Szőnyi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sándor Veress in the 30th minute of play. Miklós Bánhegyi might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Balázs Bálint. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miklós Bánhegyi ran back to his position shaking his head. 32 minutes into the match, Going Down's goal looked a bit too open when Miklós Bánhegyi came free, but Balázs Bálint reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gábor Hegyi might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Balázs Bálint. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gábor Hegyi ran back to his position shaking his head. Miklós Bánhegyi scored 2-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Balázs Bálint, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Miklós Bánhegyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Márió Szőnyi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sándor Veress, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miklós Bánhegyi to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Going Down's Sándor Veress got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ugod's goalkeeper Márió Szőnyi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Géza Pál-Szabó hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Miklós Bánhegyi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Balázs Bálint tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miklós Bánhegyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balázs Bálint having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Attila Páncsics took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Márió Szőnyi to make any attempt to save it. 85 minutes into the match, Ugod's goal looked a bit too open when Sándor Veress came free, but Márió Szőnyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Tamás Major hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Márió Szőnyi made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Flórián Halász sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Péter Végh during the 97th minute.
