The supporters of Szombathelyi HALADÁS booed when Újpest FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tamás Katona didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iza Keresztes might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Lustig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iza Keresztes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute, Iza Keresztes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Újpest FC defense, István Véber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Lustig. The Újpest FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Lustig should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute Adriano Planovskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Lustig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Újpest FC defense, Adriano Planovskiy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Lustig. The Újpest FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Lustig should have stopped the shot. Adriano Planovskiy struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Valentin Lustig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Szombathelyi HALADÁS. Attila Ferenc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. But to his dismay, Adriano Planovskiy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. After the first half Szombathelyi HALADÁS were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Carlos Sócrates dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valentin Lustig, 0-7. István Véber got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-9 in the right cross in the 69th match minute before Valentin Lustig had time to react. Viktor Galambos made a great header on Szombathelyi HALADÁS's corner, it was just that Újpest FC's Valentin Lustig managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 75th minute, István Véber reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Valentin Lustig. The goal made the score 0-10. Valentin Lustig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Planovskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Lustig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over Szombathelyi HALADÁS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Újpest FC throughout the match.
