Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Újpest FC's Ákos Sóti got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Újpest FC's Valentin Lustig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Újpest FC from getting a goal against them. Valentin Lustig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Szabolcs Vándor in the 16th minute of the match. Nagykarácsony's attack was well implemented in the 19th minute, but when Torsten Sundin was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Torsten Sundin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Valentin Lustig firmly grabbed it by the left post. 22 minutes into the match, Félix Baló dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valentin Lustig, 1-0. In the 25th minute Carlos Leitão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Gudesteo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match, Félix Baló got a very nice opportunity to score, but Valentin Lustig was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 28th match minute, Újpest FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ervin Fitos to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Lustig acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 28th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Khalida Amirouche. Valentin Lustig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szabolcs Vándor, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Khalida Amirouche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Újpest FC's goal looked a bit too open when János Zarka came free, but Valentin Lustig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torsten Sundin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Valentin Lustig skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Valentin Lustig successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torsten Sundin to strike the kick off in the second half. When Félix Baló came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Nagykarácsony fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Félix Baló couldn't finish the play. Eulalio Gudesteo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ákos Sóti in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Nagykarácsony getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Bai Ao Zhen hit a great ball. After 63 played minutes Újpest FC got a freekick which was hit by Tamás Katona. If János Zarka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Torsten Sundin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Lustig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Újpest FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Khalida Amirouche was slow to take the kick. During this time Nagykarácsony's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Nagykarácsony's corner Khalida Amirouche fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Valentin Lustig quite easily take care of the ball. Újpest FC's Valentin Lustig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szabolcs Vándor in the 74th minute of play. Khalida Amirouche's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Lustig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. János Zarka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Valentin Lustig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Újpest FC's Viktor Laczkó was substituted for Ákos Sóti. Valentin Lustig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Szabolcs Vándor in the 83rd minute of play. Zoltán Lipták kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Újpest FC's Valentin Lustig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by János Zarka in the 90th minute of play. When Róbert Budai fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Újpest FC's protests and gave Róbert Budai a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute Torsten Sundin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Lustig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Lustig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from János Zarka in the 93rd minute of play.
