Spectators: 8445 (Terracing: 6335, Seating: 1942, VIP seats: 168) Lajos Gerő started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. József Rigó stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ákos Sóti's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Valentin Lustig was a little too slow when Lajos Gerő got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 11thth minute of the game Ákos Sóti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC RED BUL's József Rigó was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valentin Lustig didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Dávid Kiprich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Valentin Lustig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. József Rigó came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Újpest FC's Ákos Sóti. But to his dismay, Ákos Sóti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Valentin Lustig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Szoboszlai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ákos Sóti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but József Rigó read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Lajos Gerő had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valentin Lustig. Újpest FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lajos Gerő was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 29 minutes into the game, when Béla Végvári put in a rough tackle. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC RED BUL! FC RED BUL:s József Rigó showed great skill when he stopped Zoltán Lipták:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominik Szoboszlai in the 34th minute of play forced Újpest FC's goalkeeper Valentin Lustig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hüseyin Alpsoy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Lustig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Valentin Lustig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominik Szoboszlai, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. With a little luck, Újpest FC's Valentin Lustig got control of the ball when Hüseyin Alpsoy tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC RED BUL made a substitution. Csaba Kaszás replaced Endre Dénes. A collision led to Újpest FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Imre Vass hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ákos Sóti to strike the kick off in the second half. Ákos Sóti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without József Rigó having to interfere. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC RED BUL's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zoltán Lipták was slow to take the kick. During this time Újpest FC's players had a chance to rest. Imre Vass was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 61 played minutes FC RED BUL got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Kassai. In the 69th match minute, FC RED BUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilmos Takács to maneuver through the defense. József Rigó showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ákos Sóti, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ákos Sóti in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg József Rigó saved FC RED BUL from getting behind. FC RED BUL's József Rigó proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save FC RED BUL from getting a goal against them. Valentin Lustig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominik Szoboszlai, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Dominik Szoboszlai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC RED BUL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominik Szoboszlai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Újpest FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dominik Szoboszlai came free, but Valentin Lustig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hüseyin Alpsoy might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Lustig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hüseyin Alpsoy ran back to his position shaking his head. Dominik Szoboszlai struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Valentin Lustig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC RED BUL. Vilmos Takács's late challenge caught a Újpest FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vilmos Takács helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, FC RED BUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilmos Takács to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominik Szoboszlai in the 96th minute of play forced Újpest FC's goalkeeper Valentin Lustig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 98 minutes Újpest FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Virgil van Beek who took care of the corner kick. Újpest FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
